Question:
How can I restore my MS-1 to its factory defaults?

Answer:

Caution: Hard resetting will erase all user memory ! Need be, back up any custom data to memory card or via MIDI sys-ex before proceeding. (see manual for details)

  1. start with the power on
  2. press RECORD + PLAY simultaneously (EDIT mode)
  3. press SELECT button until you see:
    4. 4:Erase
  4. press YES
  5. press SELECT until you see:
    6. b:Clear Memory
  6. press YES, you will see:
    7. Are You Sure?
  7. press YES to invoke

The unit is now reset.
