The following instructions will tell you how to install these files into your Mark 12/152.

Before installing you should save to disk all songs, styles, organ settings, panel memories, and other objects that you have stored in the Mark 12/152. If you are not certain how to save these items to disk, consult your manual.

Installation Instructions:

1. Copy the file M12E200.KOS onto a DOS formatted floppy disk. If you have a Mac, you can erase a disk in DOS format provided you have the proper software (such as PC Exchange, or other programs).

2. Copy the file M12S200.KOS onto another DOS formatted floppy. (You need two floppies because both files won't fit onto a single disk.)

3. On the Mark 12/152, hold down Key Start, Key Stop and Layer Volumes while turning on the power switch. Wait until the message "Waking up scanner" appears in the display. Release the buttons. You should now be in a special menu called the Boot Block.

4. Now insert the floppy disk with the M12E200.KOS file into the disk drive in the Mark 12/152.

5. The menu will have five choices. Press the button under Install File. The display will say "Install all KOS files on disk". Press GO. The display will then say "Ready to install *.KOS into ROM". Press GO again. The Mark 12/152 will install the file and return to the Boot Loader menu.

6. Insert the floppy disk with the M12S200.KOS file into the disk drive in the Mark 12/152. Repeat step 5.

7. Press the button under Run System. This starts up the new software.

8. Once the Mark 12/152 has booted up, you should press the MIDI/Prefs button and select Reset.

That's it - your unit is now running the new software.
