Installation

Start with the CUP120's power off.

  1. Press and hold down the Play/Stop button. Power on the CUP120 keeping the Play/Stop button depressed.

  2. On the CUP120 screen, you will see a scrolling text displaying: 

           "CUP120 Bootloader v1.xx"
  3. Release the Play/ Stop button.

  4. Once this text scrolls by once, the screen will display: 

           "Run CUP120"
  5. Connect a USB cable between the CUP120 and your computer.

    A temporary USB drive representing the CUP120 will mount on your computer (the drive icon may appear on your Desktop, under "Devices" (Mac) or under "My Computer" (PC))

  6. Press the PLAY button once. The screen will display: 

           "Update Software"
  7. Press NEXT once. The screen will display: 

           "Update"
  8. Press NEXT again.

    The screen will display a message telling you to copy the update file ("MP13V105.KUF") to the temporary USB drive mounted on your computer.

  9. Copy (drag and drop) the "MP13V105.KUF" file to the temporary USB drive.

  10. Unmount or "Safely Remove" the drive from your computer.

  11. Press NEXT again on your CUP120 to initiate the update.

  12. The screen will display: 

           "Updating ... "
  13. When complete, the screen will display: 

           "Done"
  14. Power the CUP120 off then back on normally.

    15. The update process is now complete.

To verify the install, you can check the O/S and Object versions by repeatedly pressing the Settings button until “OS” is displayed. Scrolling text will then display the currently installed O/S (v2.36.1456) and Object Versions (1.00.0).
