The default split key has been changed to F#3.
New Hard reset method: Holding down C8 (key 88) while powering on the unit will automatically do a "hard reset" and reboot. This is an added feature. The old methods still work too.
"Rec Rhythm: On/Off" function has been added to functions menu. (see included addendum for details).
When doing Splits and Layers the previously selected parameters - voice, transposition and volume, will be used (remembered from the last time a split or layer was done). These parameters will go back to defaults on power cycle.
Bugfix - sometimes the sostenuto pedal could be reversed on boot-up. In the earlier version, if you had your foot down on the pedal during boot-up also it would reverse the pedal (not necessarily a bug). None of this happens in the new version.

Installation

Start with the CUP-2's power off.

Press and hold down the PLAY button. Power on the CUP-2 keeping the PLAY button depressed.

Connect a USB cable between the CUP-2 and your computer.
A temporary USB drive representing the CUP-2 will mount on your computer (the drive icon may appear on your Desktop, under "Devices" (Mac) or under "My Computer" (PC))
On the CUP-2 screen, you will see a scrolling text displaying:

       "CUP-2 Bootloader v1.xx"
```
Once this text scrolls by once, the screen will display:
```
       "Run CUP-2"
```
Press the PLAY button once. The screen will display:
```
       "Update Software"
```
Press NEXT once. The screen will display:
```
       "Update"
```
Press NEXT again.
The screen will display a message telling you to copy the update file ("CP02V118.KUF") to the temporary USB drive mounted on your computer.
Copy (drag and drop) the "CP02V118.KUF" file to the temporary USB drive.

Unmount or "Safely Remove" the drive from your computer.

Press NEXT again on your CUP-2 to initiate the update.

The screen will display:
```
       "Updating ... "
```
When complete, the screen will display:
```
       "Done"
```
Power the CUP-2 off then back on normally.

The update process is now complete.

To verify the install, you can check the O/S and Object versions by pressing FUNC double press (Layer+Split). Then press SPLIT ("Func down" in this mode) twice. Scrolling text will then display the currently installed O/S (1.16) and Object Versions (1.20).
