Installation

Start with the CUP-2's power off.

  1. Press and hold down the PLAY button. Power on the CUP-2 keeping the PLAY button depressed.

  2. Connect a USB cable between the CUP-2 and your computer.

    A temporary USB drive representing the CUP-2 will mount on your computer (the drive icon may appear on your Desktop, under "Devices" (Mac) or under "My Computer" (PC))

  3. On the CUP-2 screen, you will see a scrolling text displaying:

           "CUP-2 Bootloader v1.xx"
  4. Once this text scrolls by once, the screen will display:

           "Run CUP-2"
  5. Press the PLAY button once. The screen will display:

           "Update Software"
  6. Press NEXT once. The screen will display:

           "Update"
  7. Press NEXT again.

    The screen will display a message telling you to copy the update file ("CP02V116.KUF") to the temporary USB drive mounted on your computer.

  8. Copy (drag and drop) the "CP02V116.KUF" file to the temporary USB drive.

  9. Unmount or "Safely Remove" the drive from your computer.

  10. Press NEXT again on your CUP-2 to initiate the update.

  11. The screen will display:

           "Updating ... "
  12. When complete, the screen will display:

           "Done"
  13. Power the CUP-2 off then back on normally.
  14. The update process is now complete.

To verify the install, you can check the O/S and Object versions by pressing FUNC double press (Layer+Split). Then press SPLIT ("Func down" in this mode) twice. Scrolling text will then display the currently installed O/S (1.13) and Object Versions (1.20).
