  1. Improved Program 1 Pro Piano sound (more clarity in low velocity bass notes).
  2. The variation button LED is fixed (was broken in last release).
  3. Removed program change messages from Jazz1 Rhythm (# 151) & Country7 Rhythm (# 207).
  4. Removed blank measure from Polka Rhythm (# 257).
  5. Removed accents from letters in Demo song names because the display could not show these correctly.
  6. Very low velocity playing does not make any sound (better emulating the behavior of a real piano).
  7. Default left hand split transposition is +12 semitones (1 octave up).
  8. Program 1 is now "Pro Piano" (the previous #1 "Grand Piano" has been moved to #2).
  9. Program 2 is now "Grand Piano" (was #1; the previous #2 "Pro Piano" has been moved to #1).
  10. Program 73 "Chapel Organ" has been updated.

Past Release Notes

Installation

Start with the MPG200's power off.

  1. Press and hold down the PLAY/STOP button. Power on the MPG200 keeping the PLAY/STOP button depressed.

  2. On the MPG200 screen, you will see a scrolling text displaying: 

           "MPG200 BOOTLOADER X1.XX"
  3. Once this text scrolls by once, the screen will display: 

           "RUN MPG200"
  4. Connect a USB cable between the MPG200 and your computer.

    A temporary USB drive representing the MPG200 will mount on your computer (the drive icon may appear on your Desktop, under "Devices" (Mac) or under "My Computer" (PC).

  5. Press the SELECT DOWN button. The screen will display: 

           "UPDATE SOFTWARE"
  6. Press NEXT once. The screen will display: 

           "UPDATE"
  7. Press NEXT again.

    The screen will display a message telling you to copy the .KUF update file to the temporary USB drive mounted on your computer.

  8. Copy (drag and drop) the "MP200226.KUF" file to the temporary USB drive.

  9. Unmount or "Safely Remove" the drive from your computer.

  10. Press NEXT again on your MPG200 to initiate the update.

  11. The screen will display: 

           "UPDATING ... "
  12. When complete, the screen will display: 

           "DONE"
  13. Power the MPG200 off then back on normally.

    14. The update process is now complete.

To verify the install, you can check the O/S and Object versions in Function Mode by pressing the FUNCTION button. Then press the SELECT DOWN button. Scrolling text will then display the currently installed O/S (2.22.1239) and Object Versions (1.00.21).
